The new Temple of Light at Yasodhara Ashram in Kootenay Bay is about 90 per cent complete.
Swami Lalitananda says they’re very pleased with how it’s turned out.
She say the unique building isn’t quite complete, but it’s close.
Construction on the $3.5-million project has been underway since last year.

It’s made up of eight petals prefabricated by Nelson’s Spearhead Manufacturing and assembled on site.
It replaces the old temple that burned in 2014.
A grand opening will wait until next year.
