A proposed increase in RDCK mixed waste tipping fees is not sitting well with the Town of Creston.
A $100 per tonne charge has been pitched by RDCK staff.
Eliminating trans boundary dumping and reducing the difference in fees with the RDKB are among the reasons.
The town’s director of corporate services, Steffan Klassen, has concerns.
Creston currently pays $85 per tonne.
The matter is now at the subcommittee level.
