The Creston Veterinary Clinic has seen an increased number of dogs with parvovirus in recent weeks.
Dr. Katie Neufeld says it’s highly contagious
The virus spreads between dogs through contact with infected feces but people and other animals aren’t at risk.
Symptoms include lethargic behavior, vomiting, diarrhea, and loss of appetite.
Vaccination and good hygiene are key to preventing its spread.

Neufeld says they’ve seen six to ten cases in the last two weeks.
If you suspect it in your dog you’re urged to seek vet care.
