The Regional District of Central Kootenay will borrow $1 million to build the new Creston skate park.
That money will be added to $150,000 the Columbia Basin Trust has agreed to put up.
Regional director Larry Binks says they want to get going on the project.
The RDCK is also applying for a $3.2 million grant for the overall park upgrade.
