The province wide burning ban is still in effect.

Chief Glenn Guthrie says crews responded to calls in Erickson and Canyon over the weekend.
Guthrie says it was concerned citizens who tipped them off.
He says the department is following up on every burning complaint and taking them very seriously.

Meanwhile crews fighting the Mount Midgeley fire, 13-kilometres Northwest of Creston are continuing burn-out operations and mopping up on the remainder of the perimeter.
This will likely contribute to the increase in smoke throughout the valley.
The fire is 80 % contained.
And the Parker Ridge fire down in Idaho remains at 27 % contained.
