The Creston area is under attack from Americans…American Bullfrogs that is.
Khaylish Fraser with the Central Kootenay Invasive Species Society says the critters have migrated from Idaho.
They aggressively take away food and habitat.
The numbers of American Bullfrogs are small at the moment and monitoring and eradication efforts are underway.
The public can help by reporting them. They are big and make a distinctive sound.
