Body found in creek believed to be Alvin Dunic

RCMP say a body found in Crawford Creek Wednesday is believed to be that of Alvin Dunic.

The Crawford Bay school teacher went missing at the end of May.

Andy Watson with the BC Coroner’s Service can not confirm the identify the body at this stage and says they will be working to establish that.

57 year old Dunic went missing May 29th. It’s believed he was going to check out a spot for a class project.

The creek was running very high and fast during the spring freshet.
