There will be plenty of new faces in the Kootenay Lake school district as classes resume today.
Human resources manager Deanna Holitzki says they’ve filled 137 teacher postings since May 15.
Every school will see at least one new teacher on staff.
Thirty-nine full-time positions were added due to a Supreme Court ruling that restored contract language.
Holitzki says they had no trouble even though all districts were hiring.
The district also posted and filled 85 openings for CUPE positions.
There’s also a new superintendent: Christine Perkins’ first day was Friday.
There haven’t been many changes of school administrators, but Trafalgar is looking for a vice-principal.
