Champions crowned at Gray Creek Regatta

The 44th annual Gray Creek Regatta has come and gone with what organizers say was massive success.

Jim Reaburn with the Kootenay Lake Yacht Club explains.

While the modern event turned 44 its history goes back a lot further.

Ten boats and 38 sailors took part Saturday and Sunday.

Winds were favourable and a new pursuit style race attracted some new sailors.

The winners were Reid Kelly in C fleet, Martyn LeMarquand in B fleet and Joanne Reaburn in A fleet.

Dave Heath won the multi-hull division.
