A product advisory for pineapple chunks applies to the Overwaitea store in Creston.
The BC Centre for Disease Control says it may contain Hepatitis A.
Overwaitea says the Creston store received six units of Western Family cored pineapple in 16-ounce size, but none of the other products subject to the advisory.
Anyone who has consumed the items can be vaccinated.
“We take this situation very seriously and we sincerely regret that customers may have been affected by this,” public affairs director Julie Dickson Olmstead said in an email.
“We’re encouraging customers to follow the advice of health officials in the advisory and we’re very glad to know that no known illnesses have been reported in connection with the product to date.”
