Cats edge Hawks, fall to Leafs

In the KIJHL yesterday in Spokane the Grand Forks Border Bruins thumped the Braves 7-2.

Saturday in Grand Forks the Bruins skated to a 9-1 over the Braves, in Creston the Thunder Cats suffered a 6-3 loss to the Nelson Leafs and Fruitvale the Beaver Valley Nitehawks beat the Castlegar Rebels 3-1.

Friday in Creston the Thunder Cats edged the Nitehawks 4-3 in overtime, in Castlegar the Rebels scored a 4-3 win against the Border Bruins and in Spokane the Nelson Leafs shut the Braves out 5-0.
