Greyhound needs better marketing, longtime rider says

A local man who’s been riding Greyhound for over 80 years is sorry the company is talking about cuts.

Tom Lymbery of Gray Creek says the bus line hasn’t done a good enough job marketing itself.

Lymbery remembers when Greyhound buses crossed Kootenay Lake perched on the bow of the SS Nasookin.

Greyhound Canada was actually born in Nelson in 1929 when several coach lines merged.

The company is seeking permission to reduce the frequency of its trips through our area.
