There are fewer than 200 paid-up BC Liberals in the Nelson-Creston riding.
But leadership candidate Andrew Wilkinson says that actually makes it more important.
Wilkinson was in the riding today.
He says he’s very familiar with the Kootenays having done some of his pediatric training in Trail.
He’s also skied and hiked around here.
Former East Kootenay MLA Bill Bennett is co-chair of Wilkinson’s campaign.
He says he’s known Wilkinson for 20 years as the party president, a deputy minister, and a cabinet minister.
Bennett says he also backs Wilkinson because he understand rural BC.
