Five Fortis BC employees from our region used their unique skill-sets to help restore power to the Turks and Caicos after they were hit by Hurricane Irma in September.
They were part of a crew of 250 deployed in two waves by Fortis Inc. , Fortis B-C’s parent-company.
Spokeswoman Nicole Bogdanovic says restoration efforts on the islands wrapped up November 6th.
The first wave of employees from our region included two linemen from Trail and a supervisor from Castlegar.
