Liberal leadership candidate Todd Stone visits Creston

BC Liberal leadership candidate Todd Stone has met with some Crawford Bay residents to talk about ferry service.

He was transportation minister when the decision was made last year to keep the Kootenay Lake ferry terminal in Balfour.

But he acknowledges many on the East Shore wanted it moved to Queens Bay to reduce travel time.

Stone was also in Creston, Nelson, and Grand Forks this week. He revealed his West Kootenay connection: his mother was born in Rossland.

Stone is the third candidate to visit the area after Andrew Wilkinson, who was here last month, and Dianne Watts, who toured last week.
