Kaslo’s Unity Bridge opened

A multi-national effort has allowed for the completion of an important trail on Kootenay Lake.

The Kaslo Trailblazers have officially unveiled their $200,000 crossing over the Kaslo River just as you enter the village.

Society President Val Koenig explains why they’re calling it the Unity Bridge.

The project secured widespread support in the community and was partially funded by the CBT as well as through the sale of international plaques.

The bridge creates a safe crossing allowing visitors to take a near 4km of 10km loop.
