Creston Valley Gleaners Preparing for December Donations

The Creston Valley Gleaners are hoping for food donations with a long shelf-life.

Every year around this time they have a large amount of donations that come in.

Food Bank BC has a ‘Day of Donations’ on December 1st which involves events all over the province.

Elaine Keeling on the Gleaner Board of Directors says balanced food donations are important.

Overwaitea will be having a buy one-donate one for jars of peanut butter on December 1st and Pealows Independent Grocer will be donating five dollars of every regular six to eight foot Christmas that’s bought to the food bank.

Keeling says she’s appreciates all donations but hopes for healthy options.
