Creston Fire Service is being recognised by the province.
Premier John Horgan awarded our firefighters with a letter of recognition for efforts during the summer wildfires.
Assistant Fire Chief Jared Riel wants to acknowledge all the fire services in the area who helped.
The fire service was nominated for the recognition by an anonymous local.
Riel says they were deployed all over the province.
He says they’re grateful.
Riel along with a handful of firefighters were presented with the letter at Tuesdays council meeting.
