A warm and wet November in the West Kootenay

November in our region was warm but not record-breaking.

Weather forecaster Jesse Elllis with the Southeast Fire Centre says the early snowfall November 3 was unusual but not unheard of. Fifteen centimeters fell that day in some parts.

Total precipitation for the month was 103.8 millimeters, our average is 96.7 millimeters.

The warmest day came early in the month when the mercury climbed to 12.1 degrees.

The record high for November in our region is 19.2 degrees which was set November 4th, 1975.

The coolest day was November 7 when the temperature dipped to minus 5.8 degrees.
