Meetings planned Monday on Crawford Bay regional park idea

Public meetings are slated Monday as the Regional District of Central Kootenay considers acquiring more parkland near Crawford Bay.

Twenty-eight parcels of land along the Crawford Bay foreshore have recently come up for sale from Kokanee Springs Resort.

The land for sale surrounds a small parcel the RDCK purchased in 2010.

They’re looking for community input while investigating what can potentially be done with the land.

There will be public meetings on December 11 in Riondel, Boswell, and Wynndel.

The meetings are at the Riondel Community Centre from 10 a.m. to noon, the Boswell Memorial Centre from 2 to 4 p.m., and the Wynndel Community hall from 6 to 8 p.m. (all times Mountain).
