The Regional District of Central Kootenay has chosen an engineering firm for the new Creston skate park.
The board approved an almost $125,000 contract with Van Der Zalm and Associates.
Regional director Larry Binks says they are still looking for some funding.
He says the park can be built in phases if needed.
The Columbia Basin Trust is providing $150,000 for the project, the district is also hoping to get a large grant from the federal government.
There’s no timeline yet for when construction will begin.
