Creston bakery supports local art

Creston residents will have the chance to display their artwork.

Golden flour bakery will be displaying work done by participants of the Therapeutic Activation Program and Cresteramics Society.

The collaboration was born out of classes featuring two local artists teaching people watercolour and collage techniques.

Organizer Maureen Cameron says it was a learning experience for everyone.

She says there was no intention of displaying the projects.

Creston artists Eileen Gidman and Win Dinn led the classes.

The workshops were funded by an artist grant given to Valley Community Services from Columbia Basin Trust.

The bakery will display new artwork every few weeks.
