Almost 80 participate in meetings on Crawford Bay park

Residents on the East Shore of Kootenay Lake are feeling positive about a possible new regional park at Crawford Bay.

This according to area director Garry Jackman.

He says there were some concerns about the cost of purchasing land along the Crawford Bay foreshore, but mostly interest in protecting the environment.

The Regional District of Central Kootenay is looking at purchasing land near Crawford Bay recently placed for sale from Kokanee Springs resort.

Almost 80 people showed up to the meetings held early last week in Riondel, Boswell and Wynndel.
