Creston may see changes to Cemetery and Regulations Bylaw

Creston Town Council will recommend a change to the Cemetery Operations and Regulations bylaw.

Director of municipal services Ross Beddoes says it came up because of a women who lived in town for 55 years.

Having moved away for a few years when she returned to Creston she was no longer considered a resident.

Beddoes says the change would affect future cases but not this particular one.

The change would allow anyone who has lived in the town for over 10 years to permanently be considered a resident.
