Hope for Creston Valley grain elevators

The Creston Valley grain elevators could be getting some help from the Columbia Basin Trust.

CEO Johnny Strilaeff  says they may look at how the Built Heritage program can assist.

He says this project is complicated because it would involve an acquisition and working in partnership with the owners.

The elevators are privately owned but Strilaeff says they are an important project.

He adds there are only four standing grain elevators in the province, two of which are in Creston.

The Heritage program is geared towards publicly owned buildings.

It was designed to maintain heritage conservation, focusing on buildings around Southern BC.
