Creston RCMP’s new Staff Sergeant is hard at work.
Ryan Currie moved to Creston in December.
He says the detachment has begun work on the years policing plan for the community.
He says the RCMP follow a provincial and national outline to develop policing policies for a community, but they tailor it to specific communities.
They’ll work with local stakeholders including town council and staff, and the Lower Kootenay Band.
