Wetland education funding is coming to the Kootenay-Columbia Discovery Centre Society.
Chair Jim Posynick says it’s a good start.
But they’re still working towards re-opening the interpretive centre in April.
He thinks they’re close to reaching that goal.
The society received just over $37,000 from a Columbia Basin Trust environment grant, it will go towards various education programs the centre provides.
Posynick says the programs have been very influential
He says they’re still seeking funding to re-open the interpretive centre which was closed for good in October.
