Some of the best skaters from around the Kootenays will be in Creston this weekend.
The Kootenay Regional Figure Skating Championships will take place at the Creston Rec Centre.
The 150 skaters ages range from eight to 18.
Higher level skaters are eligible to go onto the Super Series Star Skate finals in Kelowna.

The competition runs all weekend starting at 2 pm Friday.
Events include free skate, dance, elements and interpretive – admission is free.
