Creston wineries likely won’t be affected by Alberta ban on BC wine

The owner of Baillie-Grohman Estate near Creston says the Alberta ban on BC wine won’t affect them.

Bob Johnson says his winery stopped selling to Alberta around the same time the ban was introduced – not for political reasons.

Johnson says he wishes small businesses weren’t put in between the political feud between BC and Alberta.

He say’s Baillie-Grohman stopped selling into Alberta because it was better for the business.

He adds he’s trying to take the high road including promoting Alberta beef with BC wines.

Johnson says other wineries in the area – Wynwood Cellars and Skimmerhorn Wine, also don’t sell to Alberta.
