Rural Creston’s director will look at fire protection for Kitchener.
Tanya Wall says the community isn’t covered.
She says it’s a long process which includes looking at costs of services coming from Creston, Area B or Yahk.
She says they want to have all the analysis done by October and suggests the next step would be a referendum.
Information would be provided to residents and they would decide how to move forward.
Wall brought the suggestion forward to the Regional District of Central Kootenay last week.
