The Flower Pot Foundation says their recent fundraiser was a success.
Owner of Creston Hotel Mimika Coleman says they raised over $4000 with their auctions and ticket sales.
She says the money goes towards keeping her sister, Maria Karountzos’ memory alive.
Funds raised are going towards a bursary for PCSS students interested in horticulture and business, as well as adding to green spaces downtown.
Coleman says there was a lot of support from the community.
This is the first spaghetti dinner held to raise money for the society, they’ve also done ladies movie nights at the Tivoli theatre.
