The Firehall Advisory Select Committee members have been chosen.
The Town of Creston announced today 11 people will participate in finding short and long-term solutions for the firehall.
Mayor Ron Toyota says the first meeting will be on March 7th.
The committee will work with a third-party facilitator and technical experts throughout the process. They will then bring their recommendations to council for final decisions.
Toyota says the selection committee had a lot of interest.
Individuals selected includes residents, representatives of the downtown business community, fire and emergency services personnel, youth representation, community groups and a member from the Committee for an Affordable Fire Hall. Four council members, including Mayor Toyota, are also part of the committee.
