Creston RCMP responded to 64 calls last week.
On Thursday they were called to investigate strange noises that sounded like an animal in distress. The complainant called back to report that after a shot was heard the noises stopped.
Later that day police responded to a report of a male screaming near 12th avenue, after investigating they determined that it was a female riding a bike screaming for ice cream.
On Friday police stopped a vehicle driving erratically in an alleyway -a man was arrested and placed in the back of the police vehicle. While RCMP were making this arrest the second passenger attempted to drive the vehicle away. Police intervened and a woman was also arrested – both parties were charged.
Later police were called to intervene when a taxi passenger complained about the taxi driver showing unsolicited photos of a pornographic nature. The passenger thought this was highly inappropriate – the driver and his employer were spoken to.
