The Creston fire hall’s Firefighter for a Night event went off without a hitch.
Firefighters from all the halls in the areas set up a variety of tasks to complete including a ladder lift and turning on, carrying and spraying the fire hose.
Participant April Parsons says it was surprising how difficult the different tasks were.
She says she’s definitely considering signing up.
Jody Patstone, another applicant, says she was there because she’s looking to get more involved in the community.

At the end of the night participants were treated to a lift in the aerial truck.
The Creston, Canyon-Lister and Wynndel fire halls are all looking for paid on-call firefighters.
