Residents invited to start work on new Goat Mountain trail

The Trails for Creston Valley society is hosting a work bee Tuesday to break ground on the new Goat Mountain trail.

Creston Community Forest was given the go-ahead to create the trail from the town late last year. Trail society member Adam Mjolsness says they’ll be clearing bush around the trail to start off, volunteers are encouraged to bring pruners, loppers, boots, gloves, hats and water.

It’s the first public area on goat mountain that’s accessible right in town. Mjolsness says the trail society will be holding work bees over the next few months to help construct the trail.

The work bee tomorrow starts at 10 am.
