The Creston Valley Regional Airport is getting new runway lights.
Funding to the tune of $210, 000 has been secured from the Province, RDCK, town of Creston and the Airport Society.
President George Green says the upgrade is long overdue.
Green says if the lights quit the runway would close at night and stop Medivac service.
The airport sees an average of 10 Medivac flights a month.
