Creston’s Fire Chief says its dispatch transition has been seamless.
Mike Moore says they’ve maintained a very similar level of service. He’s requested council recognize the service dispatchers in Trail provided.
The Creston fire department is now receiving dispatch service from the regional district of Fraser-Fort George. Moore says they’ve been working with the Regional District of Central Kootenay and Regional District of Kootenay-Boundary for the past year and a half to make the change.
Previously service was provided from the dispatch centre in Trail which was recently shut down.
