Nelson city council will reconsider the timing of the demolition of the market shelters at Cottonwood Falls Park.
The city decided they should come down this Fall but based on community feedback mayor Deb Kozak says they’re prepared to take another look.
Kozak says families and the wider community are not comfortable using the park because of certain problem activities that go on in the area.
She would not say if it’s specifically a transient population issue but says there will be changes at the site as part of the new vision for that Railtown area and the public will be involved in that consultation.
