The owner of the average home in Trail now knows what they’ll pay in extra taxes for the pedestrian pipe bridge.
It’ll be will be $31.50 for 25 years.
The city released the info ahead of Thursday’s public meeting which is a requirement of the province before extra borrowing can be approved.
The tax amount accounts for Trail’s 63% share of the $7.2 million regional sewer pipe portion of the bridge.
The pedestrian element costs $7.5 million and Trail will not impose a tax on that.
It will use future gas tax revenue and other sources to fund it.
The public meeting goes at City Hall at 4pm.
