Memorial fund for family of mill worker

A memorial fund to help the family of a Kitchener man who died in an industrial accident at J.H. Huscroft Limited in Creston has exceeded $30, 000.

28-year old Dustin William John Gerlinsky has been identified as the victim of Tuesday’s incident.

A preliminary investigation reveals he was killed after being pinned between a large stacker and the sort deck on which he was working.

Brandy Dyer says she set up the go-fund-me account for Gerlinsky’s wife and children, because of her own experience.

Dyer says the money collected is to help the family with funeral expenses and to build up savings for down the road.

Work Safe BC will take over the investigation.

The go-fund-me account can be found under, “Gerlinsky Memorial Fund”.
