The Nelson and District Aquatic Centre closes its doors for eleven months of renovations at the end of the day Saturday.
The $5.3 million project will involve upgrades to the pool area as well as to the mechanical, electrical and chemical systems.
The RDCK says it’s all about extending the life of the centre into the coming decades.
The facility was built in 1972.
