Update: Creston author Dave Perrin dies suddenly

Update: Dr. Perrin’s memorial is now being held at the Creston and District Community Complex.

A Creston author who tickled funny bones with his tales from the barnyard has died.

Dr. Dave Perrin published five books in his country vet series, all of which were Canadian bestsellers.

He also co-wrote a book about Bountiful. His final book is due out in September.

According to his website, a memorial is planned for Saturday at 11 at the Creston and District Community Complex (previously scheduled at Millennium Park).

Perrin was born in 1948 and raised in the Trail suburb of Casino. He practiced veterinary medicine in the Creston Valley from 1973-99.
