A new date to celebrate Arrow Creek Water System upgrades

The Arrow Creek Water System Upgrades Project Completion Celebration has a new date.

Residents from Creston and Erickson are invited to the restored Erickson Water Fountain located on 33rd Avenue and Highway 3 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm on September 7, 2018.

Festivities include a ribbon cutting-ceremony performed by special guests, a historical display and refreshments. No RSVP is required.

Over $7.8 million in grants helped fund the project. Uli Wolf, the General Manager of Environmental Services expressed her excitement for the upgrades 11 years in the making.

“We are very excited to reach this milestone, and we look forward to celebrating with the community.” Wolf continues, “This has been a long process, and now that the project is complete, we have a robust water system which will provide drinking and irrigation water to the Creston and Erickson communities well into the future.”

The Town of Creston and the Erickson community rely on The Arrow Creek Water System for drinking water and irrigation.  Improvements to infrastructure, include the replacement of 11 kilometers of transmission line, construction of two enclosed reservoirs, transmission line metering installation, treatment plant membrane filter replacement, and the installation of three pressure reducing stations.
