The City Of Trail has received some welcome news regarding the $14.5 million pipe-pedestrian bridge.
Its getting $800,000 from Bike BC.
This comes through a program which awards funding to infrastructure projects that add to cycling networks.
Councilor Robert Cacchione says they applied for the grant quite a while ago.
Council hasn’t laid out an exact plan as to how the grant money will be dispersed, but says it could offset the costs of making the bridge wider and more bike-accessible.
