Creston Cannabis Consumption

On this historical day Canada is only G7 country in the world where recreational cannabis is legal nationwide.
However, Creston Valley residents will have to travel out of town to purchase their marijuana products or order them online at bccannabisstores.com
Mayor Ron Toyota explains the process the town is still going through.
“We have no bylaw in place at this time regarding the sale of cannabis, marijuana. our council and staff are working on a bylaw for this specific situation and we’re hoping to have it in place by the end of this year. “
Once the bylaw is in place a cannabis business will be able to apply to set up shop within the boundaries set by the Town of Creston after proper vetting has taken place.
The town have the results from the cannabis survey conducted this year and bylaws will be implemented based of its results.
“They’re going to be coming back with recommendations on how we should construct our bylaw in the Town of Creston.” Toyota says, “In regards to sales outlets’ numbers, where they can be at hours of operation etc.”
For more details on what the town has planned in relation to these bylaws, go to the cannabis questionnaire results article.
Residents are asked to treat cannabis like alcohol and to not consume it in public places where there are children present and be respectful towards others.
