The newly-established Silver City Days committee has selected a volunteer Operations Manager.
Longtime Trail resident and volunteer Keith Smyth will step into the position.
He, along with city council and the committee, will play an integral part in preparing and overseeing future festivals.
Smyth’s past volunteer work includes the 2011 West Kootenay BC Seniors Games, BC Summer and Winter Games, the Babe Ruth World Series and several city projects.
Next year’s Silver City Days festival starts the Tuesday before Mother’s Day.
