26 fewer calls for RCMP assistance compared to last week

Police received 50 calls for assistance from January 8th to January 15th, 2018.

 

January 8, 2019

  • Called to locate a dog wandering on Highway 21.
  • Complaint of harassment at a business in Creston by a customer.
  • Report of attempted fraud on Facebook.
  • Police attended an on-going neighbour dispute over loud music in Creston.
  • Report of a vehicle playing loud music.

January 9, 2019

  • Report of a dog attacking another dog in Wynndel. Matter referred to bylaw services.
  • Report of an internet fraud on a local buy and sell page.
  • Attended a neighbour dispute in Erickson over piling up of plowed snow.

January 10, 2019     

  • Report of an uninsured vehicle operating on a roadway in Erickson.

January 11, 2019

  • Attended a house fire in Kitchener. No people were injured.
  • Report of criminal harassment by a former employee’s relative.
  • Report of a violation of the Customs Act at Kingsgate duty free.
  • Request to assist in drafting a peace bond for a former partner.
  • Intervened in a neighbour dispute in Erickson.
  • Received an anonymous tip regarding a beer keg theft from years past.
  • A call of a domestic assault incident found the impaired suspect driving back to the residence as police were in attendance. The suspect was arrested and charged for impaired operation. The driver also received a 24 hour licence suspension and a 7 day vehicle impound.

January 12, 2019

  • Report of a suspicious male in a van in Creston. Police located the suspect van and found no issue with the driver.

 

January 13, 2019

  • Investigated a report of an assault at a local business. Upon investigation, the person reporting had been the aggressor. No charges pursued.
  • Report of a break and enter to a residence in Creston.
  • Report of mischief resulting in damage to a vehicle in Creston.

January 14, 2019

  • Report of a breach of a court order by a violator in Creston.
  • Received a call from a concerned neighbour about a suspicious vehicle attending residences in Creston late at night. Police located the vehicle and stopped it. The resulting investigation found numerous controlled substances – some packaged for sale, liquor, and evidence that the driver had been stealing gas from vehicles and tanks. The driver was arrested and held for court to answer to numerous charges.
