TBAC votes to keep and update existing plans for the fire hall

The Technical Building Advisory Committee has decided to move forward with existing fire hall schematics.

Polsom gave a presentation to Creston Council January 22 to share the TBAC’s decision

FireWise Consultant Ernie Polsom gave a presentation to Council underlining which direction the TBAC is moving toward.

After reviewing the proprietary nature of the existing schematics provided by Johnston and Davidson Architecture, Polsom said the TBAC decided it would be best to not start again from scratch.

“It was a really good conversation back and forth.” Poslom said about the first TBAC meeting held on January 21. “Lots of discussion and a very experienced crew at the table. They are extremely experienced at complex processes. The decision was made, it was a unanimous vote to use the current development report.”

According to Polsom, TBAC recognizes that some changes will have to be made in terms of keeping up with code or any new regulations that may have arisen since the initial plans were drawn out.
