Theft at Wynndel Foods results in 16 guns stolen

Sixteen non-restricted long gun firearms have been stolen from Wynndel Foods, just north of Creston.

Creston RCMP are investigating the break and enter and theft which was caught on closed circuit TV at 4:14 a.m on Thursday.

According to Constable Curtis Davies, the suspects attempted to gain access to an ATM machine before focusing their efforts on a range of firearms which include small caliber rifles and shotguns.

The majority stolen items are of the Savage brand.

The suspects fled the scene in what is believed to be a dark-colored newer model Ford F-150 southbound on Highway 3A.
