MLA Michelle Mungall is hosting an open house on CleanBC at the Creston and District Community Complex an April 18.
There will also be representatives from Fortis BC, the West Kootenay Eco Society and the RDCK REEP EcoSave program.
Mungall says it is a great opportunity for residents to get information on incentive programs and opportunities to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
“We need to make it more affordable. For a lot of people the price point is just a little bit out of range. Our government has a rebate program and a variety of initiatives like going to heat pumps, or an electric vehicle. So people should come out to the open house and they can learn more about those rebate programs and how they can apply.”
The event is in the Kootenay Room from 4:30 pm until 6:00 pm with a special presentation at 5:15 pm.
